Grace Benefactor

What we focus on

Support designed for each individual

Adults with learning or physical disabilities, mental health needs, autism, behaviours that may challenge or Asperger’s syndrome may require help in some areas of daily life. We provide that help so they can retain their independence and keep working towards what matters to them.

Support centred on the individual

Every person is unique

Grace Benefactor takes an active, person-centred approach to supporting every individual we work alongside. Even when two people have similar needs or hopes for the future, we recognise that each person is different.

We help people define goals and ambitions that reflect their own interests and priorities. Our staff work alongside each person, enabling them to make their own choices and take part in activities they find meaningful, enjoyable and inspiring.

Support that adapts

Turning ambitions into achievable steps

Our support must be flexible enough to meet each person's circumstances. Together, we map out the practical steps that can move them closer to their chosen goal.

For example, someone may need travel training to reach a new social or vocational activity, as well as budgeting guidance to help them afford it.

The support plan prepared when someone joins us is reviewed and updated whenever their needs, activities or relevant risk assessments change.

The people behind our support

Developing a skilled and capable team

Positive outcomes depend on well-supported staff who play an essential role in each person's wellbeing. That is why we invest in our team and use a thorough recruitment process to select people who meet our high standards.

We work with vulnerable adults aged 18 and over who may have the following needs:

  • Learning Disabilities
  • Autism
  • Epilepsy
  • Mental ill-health
  • Behaviours that may challenge
  • Physical Disabilities
Personalised learning and physical disability support

Learning and Physical Disability Support

Learning Disabilities

Learning disabilities affect everyone differently and may make it harder to understand information, develop skills or live independently. We focus on each person's abilities and challenges, working with individuals and multi-disciplinary teams to provide practical support, including tailored epilepsy plans where needed.

Physical Disabilities

We support people with a range of neuromusculoskeletal disabilities. Our trained staff use mobility aids suited to each person's needs, helping them move safely and comfortably.

Personalised mental health, autism and behaviour support

Mental Health, Autism and Behaviour Support

Mental Health

We support people with varied mental health needs, including those with a forensic history. By listening, understanding behaviour patterns and recognising early signs of relapse, we can provide timely help that promotes long-term stability.

Autism

Autism affects every person differently. Our team takes time to understand each individual's communication, routines and surroundings, helping them participate in activities safely and confidently.

Positive Behaviour Support

When required, we create a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plan tailored to the individual. Our trained staff seek to understand the reasons behind behaviours, adapt situations and encourage alternative ways to communicate.
